5th Triennale of Kogei in Kanazawa

Craft Visions

The 5th Triennale of Kōgei in Kanazawa features an open-call exhibition and a special exhibition. This year’s theme is “Craft Visions.” The open-call exhibition, which introduces expressive artworks characterized by outstanding creativity, showcases how crafts (kōgei) continue to spread and evolve on the global stage. The triennial’s special exhibition features a diverse selection of works from the collections of the National Crafts Museum, the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art, and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, exhibited alongside winning works from the 2022 Loewe Foundation Craft Prize. We hope that the exhibited artworks, which highlight craft materials and techniques, will present viewers with a broad field of visionary expression and new possibilities.
